Coach America operates 1,623 full size motor coaches, 351 minibuses and cutaways, 902 vans and 39 trolleys. Due to the size of our fleet, tracking fleet cost is very important and we use one of the best maintenance management programs available to assist us in planning preventive maintenance and needed repairs. One of the ways we do this is with the latest technology available, such as bar coding of parts and equipment. The mechanics at each shop location also use the latest diagnostic software to perform engine, transmission and chassis repair.
We have 37 shops and over 100 mechanics that maintain and support the Coach America fleet in 40 locations throughout the US. Not only do these shops support their local fleet, they also perform repairs and maintenance on sister company vehicles. The average age of our fleet is only 7.1 years old and our planned replacement cycle will ensure our fleet average age will be maintained.
